Beckman Coulter Announces First Quarter Results


Beckman Coulter, Inc. (NYSE: BEC), a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of products that simplify, automate and innovate complex biomedical testing, announced today first quarter ended March 31, 2010 results. Reported first quarter revenue, including $115.7 million from the recent Olympus Diagnostics acquisition (Olympus), was $881.1 million, up 27.4% over prior year quarter, or 23.6% in constant currency.

Illumina Now Shipping HiScanSQ Platform


Illumina, Inc. (NASDAQ:ILMN) today announced shipment of HiScanSQ, the first instrument to integrate microarray analysis and next-generation sequencing in a modular design that can evolve with changing research needs. Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.
