HTS Biosystems was formed by combining technology and intellectual property from its initial shareholders. This also included its major shareholders, Quantech Ltd. and Applied Biosystems, Inc.

In March 2005, the company sold its FLEXChip Sytem and related assets to Biacore A/S.

The Proteomatrix™ Solution from HTS Biosystems encompasses detection instrumentation, microarrays, biosensor chips, reagents, software and application support. The company co-developed the Applied Biosystems 8500 Affinity Chip Analyzer.
