Australian Genome Research Facility
Sequencing, genotyping, SNP, colony picking and gridding, microarrays
The AGRF was founded as a result of the Commonwealth Government’s Major National Research Facility Program. In the beginning, it received a grant of $14 million for the purpose of acquiring equipment. As the address indicates, its quarters are in the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. Besides the research facility in Melbourne, a second one is in Brisbane. The AGRF Microarray Group was established in January 2000.
The Melbourne division offers mutation detection and genotyping services.
