Together with its spin-off, eBiochip Systems GmbH the ISIT focuses on biochips, electronics, software and fluidics control.
Electrical biochips have several advantages over conventional optical systems in that they allow cost-effective miniaturisation and digital position recognition. The signals are detected by biochemical means (enzyme chemistry).
