High-quality diagnostic methods using microarray gene expression profiling to determine the tumour properties

Agendia is based on research carried out at the Netherlands Cancer Institute/Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL), an internationally recognised cancer research center in Amsterdam. Agendia’s co-founders, Dr. Laura van ‘t Veer and Prof. René Bernards thus developed an mRNA based method for genomic profiling that predicts the outcome of breast cancer (2002 in Nature and New England Journal of Medicine).
