Multilyte is a company founded by Professor Roger Ekins, FRS, of University College London and jointly owned by UCL and Professor Ekins. Multilyte owns all Professor Ekins’ intellectual property in the field of multianalyte testing including basic and other formats, detection system etc. Professor Ekins, who is internationally recognised as a pioneer of immunoassay and other binding assays, including the immonoassay of free hormones and drugs, has received numerous awards for his work in the field of microarrays including the first AACC, E.F.Ullman Award, the Prince of Wales Award for Innovation and most recently the UK Department of Health’s first Lifetime Achievement Award for Scientific Contributions to Patient Healthcare.
