EURIT and High-Throughput RNAi User Forum Conference to Cover Current Topics in RNAi Research
The European Union for RNA Interference Technology (EURIT) and QIAGEN’s High-Throughput RNAi User Forum are jointly organizing a conference and workshop in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology. The workshop and conference will be held in Hilden and Dusseldorf, Germany on May 7th and 8th, 2007. Attendance is free and is open to all scientists interested in RNAi.
The workshop on May 7th will demonstrate how to get the most out of your RNAi screen. Experienced researchers will explain how to run an RNAi screen and the critical steps involved in setting up the technology platform. The conference on May 8th is a platform to facilitate information exchange among scientists interested in RNAi technologies. Leading experts in RNAi from Harvard Medical School, Hoffmann-La Roche, EMBL, and many other institutes, will present and discuss topics which include advances in the knowledge of the RNAi mechanism, the latest guidelines for RNAi screening strategies including avoiding off-target effects, and recent results from RNAi screens for drug discovery and functional analysis.
