Xenopus Microarray Project
Development of tools to examine the expression of thousands of genes in a single experiment
The Xenopus Microarray project is supported by the Rockefeller University; it is part of the Laboratory of Molecular Vertebrate Embryology headed by Professor Ali Brivanlou. Software tools and database development are provided by the Laboratory of Computational Genomics headed by Assistant Professor Terry Gaasterland.
The groups at Rockefeller has produced a Stanford Type arrayer based on the plans provided by the Brown lab and has prepared a variety of Xenopus arrays containing 5,000 clones from gastrula stage embryos.
