Wong Lab

Development of methods and software for the analysis of the data from high throughput genomics projects

Prof. Wong’s lab is located on Stanford University campus and closely cooperates with other groups on cancer and developmental biology developing and enhancing tools in e.g. exploratory data analysis, multivariate analysis, information theory, machine learning, Monte Carlo, graph theory, linear and nonlinear differential equations.

Dr. Wong and his group are developing de-convolution algorithms aiming to correct for cross-hybridising signals contributed by non-target transcripts. The group is also developing methods for handling non-expression arrays. In cooperation with the Murray lab, Wong’s group is analysing tag-probe arrays from yeast competition experiments.

The group is collaborating with Affymetrix on developing methods for analysing data from Affymetrix 100 SNP arrays.
