Affitech is a privately held biotechnology company, which was founded in 1997 by a group of Norwegian and German Scientists (Ole Jorgen Marvik, Melvyn Little, Martin Welschof).
In September 2000, Affitech acquired Actigen Ltd (Cambridge, UK) from Active Biotech AB (Lund, Sweden).
In December 2001, Affitech established a wholly-owned subsidiary in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA.
