Vivid™ Microarray Slides are constructed of a glass base with a membrane printing area which offers increased surface area and low background. Use of membrane slides as a microarray substrate facilitates high binding and simple immobilisation methods. Vivid membrane slides offer higher signal to noise ratios than glass and facilitate shorter imaging time with no need for specialised cross linking reagents. High signal levels can be generated on these slides using radioactive 33P, chemiluminescent, chemifluorescent or direct fluorescent detection systems. Reduced amounts of mRNA are required. In addition, the slides have a serialised barcode to allow the use of automated tracking systems.
