DKFZ Heidelberg - Functional Genome Analysis
Chip technology, transcriptional profiling, isolation and characterisation of disease genes, genome mapping and sequencing, microarray
In 1957, the German government invested 3 million Deutsch Marks into cancer research, which was used to establish a central research centre for cancer research in Heidelberg. The DKFZ (German Cancer Research Center) became officially what it is today in 1964.
