Microarray Gene Expression Data Society (MGED)
Establishment of gene expression data repositories, interoperability of different gene expression databases and data analysis software, as well as comparability of gene expression data from different sources
The MGED group was initially established at the Microarray Gene Expression Meeting MGED1 in November 1999 in Cambridge, UK.
It is the aim of the group to facilitate the adoption of standards for DNA array experiment annotation and data representation. In addition, standard experimental protocols and data normalisation methods are to be introduced. The group has so far held three meetings, of which the last was held at Stanford University, CA, USA in March 2001.
