The Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB offers R&D services regarding research in health, environment and technology.

The Fraunhofer IGB’s fully equipped microarray facility offers the services of analysis and interpretation of microarrays. Services include testing DNA microarrays (for the use in transcription profiles and determining single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs); probe design; PCR fragment production, isolating RNA and DNA from sample material microarray analysis; contact printing on optimised surfaces; RNA and DNA labelling and hybridisation) and sample preparation for DNA diagnostics (process optimisation and evaluation; process development for nucleic acid isolation; process downsizing; material selection (membranes) and specific surface functionalisation).
