The European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) is a non-profit academic organisation, which is part of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). The EBI is a centre for bioinformatics research and service.
The EBI is funded by EMBL budget, European Commision (TEMBLOR - DESPRAD), Biostandards, AstraZeneca, ILSI Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI), Compendium of Arabidopsis Gene Expression (CAGE), European Nutrigenomics Organisation (NuGO).
