Arabidopsis Functional Genomics Network
AFGN supports projects regarding the functional analysis of multiprotein families
A group of German plant biologists founded the “Arabidopsis Functional Genomics Network (AFGN)” as the result of a 10-year international effort to sequence the first genome of a green plant, Arabidopsis, which was completed in late 2000. The central topic of possible grant applications to the AFGN is the functional analysis of multiprotein families. This includes the analysis of all members of a given multiprotein family with respect to their expression and function during the Arabidopsis life cycle. The aim of this NSF project is to make any new tools and new knowledge derived during the project available to the community efficiently and without restrictions.
