Lambda GmbH was founded by Dr. Karl Zehethofer and Karl Zehethofer.

In 2003, Lambda GmbH was taken over entirely by Greiner Bio-One GmbH of Frickenhausen, Germany with which it had previously formed a strategic partnership.

Besides the biochips ParoCheck® and CarnoCheck® produced for Greiner Bio-One, the company also produces diagnostic MT Arrays and customised Concept-to-Customer (C2C) chips.
