The Labman spotter (HMDS) can be configured with a variable number of transfer pins depending in source (96, 384, 1534 well plates) and destination formats. Pins can be provided in several diameters for simultaneous transfer of submicrolitre (down to 10nl) liquid samples. The labman spotter works with 1µm positional accuracy. Programming and sample tracking is performed with a Windows interface. Pins can be moved at a speed of up to 3 metres a second and are automatically cleaned between each transfer to prevent cross-sample contamination.
